Official statistics: Brazil's corn exports from October to present have decreased by 30% compared to the same period last year
On October 16th, according to statistics from the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), Brazil's corn exports have been 2.521 million tons so far in October, compared to 8.448 million tons for the entire month of October last year.
From October 1st to November, Brazil exported an average of 280113 tons of corn per day, a decrease of 30.4% compared to the same period last year.
Since October, the export value of corn has reached 510 million US dollars, compared to 1.9 billion US dollars for the entire month of October last year.
Since October, the average export price of corn has been 202.4 US dollars per ton, a decrease of 10.1% compared to the same period last year.
As a reference, Brazil's corn exports in September 2024 were 6.42 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26.6%.
In August, Brazil's corn export volume was 6.06 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 35.2%.
In July, Brazil's corn export volume was 3.55 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 16.1%.
The export volume of corn in June was 850893 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17.7%.
The export volume of corn in May was 421374 tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%.
