National Feed Production Situation in September 2024

In September 2024, the national industrial feed production was 28.15 million tons, a month on month increase of 1.2% and a year-on-year decrease of 4.1%. The factory prices of main compound feed, concentrated feed, and additive premixed feed products have mainly decreased compared to the previous month and year-on-year. The proportion of corn used in the compound feed produced by feed enterprises was 34.7%, a year-on-year increase of 9.1 percentage points; The proportion of soybean meal used in compound feed and concentrated feed was 12.8%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1 percentage points.

In the first three quarters of 2024, the total output of industrial feed in China was 227.87 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.3%. Among them, the production of compound feed, concentrated feed, and additive premixed feed were 212.37 million tons, 9.28 million tons, and 5.13 million tons, respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 4.1%, 11.6%, and 1.1%. The factory prices of main compound feed, concentrated feed, and additive premixed feed products have shown a year-on-year downward trend.
