National Feed Production Situation in August 2024

In August 2024, the national industrial feed production was 27.83 million tons, a month on month increase of 5.0% and a year-on-year decrease of 5.7%. The factory prices of main compound feed and concentrated feed products have shown a downward trend compared to the previous month and year-on-year, while the factory prices of additive premixed feed products have slightly decreased year-on-year. The proportion of corn used in the compound feed produced by feed enterprises was 31.2%, a year-on-year increase of 5.6 percentage points; The proportion of soybean meal used in compound feed and concentrated feed was 12.8%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.8 percentage points.
