Last week, first of all, in terms of production, as of October 29th, there were about 72 starch factories in operation (week on week+11), and starch production continued to increase significantly week on week. The supply of raw materials has continued to increase compared to the previous week, and potato prices have fluctuated and fallen; At present, the average production time per week in starch factories is 5.5 days (+0.5 days compared to last week); The purchase prices for fresh potato raw materials are as follows: 2900-3000 VND/kg in the southern region (compared to last week's -100 VND/KG, local potatoes, with a 30% reduction in flour content), 2800-2900 VND/kg in the central region (compared to last week's -100 VND/KG, with a 30% reduction in flour content), and 2450-2550 VND/kg in the northern region (compared to last week's -50 VND/KG, raw potatoes). Secondly, in terms of the market, due to the continuous insufficient demand in the Chinese market and the fluctuating and falling prices of cassava raw materials, the export market of cassava starch in Vietnam has maintained a stable and slightly declining trend, with prices still reporting a slight decline. The latest quotes for mainstream brands are (CIF Qingdao Port): low-end products 430-440 (-5), ordinary products 445-455 (-5), and high-quality products 455-465 (-5) (USD/ton).
