The first batch of imported cassava from Laos through the China Laos railway
On October 21, the first batch of Laos cassava imported through the China Laos Railway was successfully cleared through the supervision and inspection of Mengla Customs under Kunming Customs. The batch of cassava has a dry weight of 530 tons, originating from Vientiane, Laos, entering through the Mohan Railway Port, and ultimately arriving in Lanzhou, Gansu.
On October 9, the designated supervision site for imported grain at Mohan Railway Port passed the acceptance, marking that the grain agricultural products from surrounding countries such as corn, dried cassava and dried mung bean can enter the domestic market directly through the China Laos Railway.
In the past, we could only import grain through road transportation. After the designated supervision site for imported grain at the Mohan Railway Port was put into use, grain can be transported directly to the destination by railway, with faster logistics speed and reduced overall costs, "said Chen Yanfang, General Manager of Xishuangbanna Laotailuo Customs Declaration Co., Ltd.
"In order to ensure that grain products are imported through the China Laos railway for the first time, we set up a special shift for customs clearance supervision at the first time, and closely linked with the railway department to ensure smooth customs clearance," said Zhou Baohua, deputy director of Mengla Customs.
With all the comprehensive designated supervision sites at Mohan Railway Port put into use, and in combination with the promotion of quarantine access of agricultural and food products in surrounding countries, high-quality agricultural and food products from Laos, Thailand and other countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" will be sold to the domestic market more safely and quickly, and even be re exported overseas, effectively boosting the high-quality development of the "golden line" of the China Laos Railway by virtue of the advantages of convenient customs clearance and international freight standardization of the China Laos Railway.
