Production and market situation of cassava and starch in Vietnam

The supply of raw materials has maintained an increasing trend compared to the previous week, while potato prices have remained stable with some decline; At present, the average production time per week in starch factories is 6.0 days (+0.2 days compared to last week); The purchase prices for fresh potato raw materials are as follows: 2800-2900 VND/kg in the southern region (30% off flour content compared to last week's -0 VND/KG for local potatoes), 2600-2700 VND/kg in the central region (30% off flour content compared to last week's -100 VND/KG), and 2250-2350 VND/kg in the northern region (30% off flour content compared to last week's -0 VND/KG for raw potatoes). Secondly, in terms of the market, influenced by factors such as the continuous depreciation of the Chinese yuan and the continuous increase in starch production, the export market of cassava starch in Vietnam is in a fluctuating and wait-and-see trend, with prices still reporting a slight decline. The latest quotes from mainstream brands are (Qingdao Port CIF): low-end products 420-430 (-5), ordinary products 435-445 (-5), and high-quality products 445-455 (-5) (USD/ton).
