据泰国《世界日报》3月4日报道，泰商业部长蓬提瓦表示，为应对全球经济放缓，本国出口下滑的局面，应重视开发中国市场，提高泰国农产品在中国市场的占有率。同时通过参与国内外展销会、加大官方宣传力度等方式积极扩大对印度、中东、非洲及邻国的出口。
蓬提瓦表示，泰国农产品每年对华出口额超过3600万美元，其中橡胶产品在中国进口农产品市场占有率达到48.4%，水果市占率为24.7%，大米达到98.3%，木薯为64.2%。商业部拟定今年出口额目标1778-1831亿美元，增长0-3%。目前是泰国开发中国农产品市场的良机，也希望中国企业来泰国北部和东北部投资橡胶加工业。
