本网讯（通讯员 韦宾）：笔者5月29日现场走访了广西钦州市的多个乡镇，对本年度的木薯种植和长势作调研；结果显示，本年度至今，由于农民种植积极性高，气候总体适宜，加之科学种植技术和意识的进步和提高，使之当前的木薯生长良好，形势喜人；此外，据我们的初步了解和统计，本年度广西钦州的木薯种植面积同比将有超过15%的增长，为此，如下半年继续“风调雨顺”，则产量有望再创历史新高。
另据悉，从近年的产量情况和发展趋势分析，2011/2012年度钦州市极可能取代崇左市成为仅次于南宁市的广西第二大鲜木薯原料产地。
