2011年6月20日，国家木薯产业技术体系种苗繁育岗位科学家、广西农业科学院经济作物研究所研究员韦本辉与广西五丰机械公司的发明专利粉垄机，通过了广西壮族自治区农机检测站的作业技术鉴定。该鉴定工作在广西南宁金光农场进行。
此次进行鉴定的是200匹马力9个钻头（耕作宽度为2.83米）的粉垄机。此台粉垄机经过多代的研制和不断改进，取得了较大的进展。该粉垄机的设计值为1.7公里/小时，在广西南宁地区红壤土壤条件下达到了1.44公里/小时的作业值，它可为木薯种植及其他作物粉垄整地作业，整地作业深浅程度可根据不同作物要求设定进行，深耕深松而不乱土层，保水保肥性能好，可一次性完成深耕、粉土、起垄等作业。
该台新型粉垄机通过技术鉴定，标志着木薯等作物种植，可采用粉垄栽培新技术，为提高木薯单产，提供了条件。
