缺氮：植株生长缓慢，全株呈淡绿色甚至黄绿色，继而老叶周围部分呈淡黄色，以至于干枯脱落。
缺磷：植株的叶片、叶柄和叶片边缘均向上坚起，叶片萎缩变少，叶色暗绿，植株矮小或细长，早期脱落，块茎内可能出现锈褐色的疮痕或斑点。
缺钾：植株生长减缓，节间变短，植株弯曲下垂，叶片卷缩、叶面缩小、叶脉下陷，叶尖及叶缘由绿色变为暗绿，有时叶面出现紫纹，植株基部几个叶片同时枯干，而心叶则仍呈正常状态。且植株很容易受寄生虫病菌的侵害，块茎内部呈灰色。
缺钙：幼叶变小，颜色淡绿，叶缘卷起，其后枯死。
缺镁：基部老叶的叶尖缘发生失绿现象，逐渐沿叶脉间扩展，最后叶脉间的组织填满褐色的死斑，向上卷起，叶脉间部分突出，厚而暗，病叶最后死亡脱落。
缺硼：顶尖枯死，侧芽迅速生长，节间缩短，从而使植株呈矮丛状；叶片增厚，叶缘上卷，叶中组织累积大量淀粉，长期缺硼时根部短粗呈褐色，根类死亡，块茎矮小，维管束变褐，表皮有裂痕。
